The Woodland Park Stigma Free Task Force recently had a very colorful and successful first annual color run at Zaccaria Park. Nearly 100 kids and adults came out to support the event and have a fun, quick run on the field while getting splattered with an assortment of powdery colors.
Organizers send their appreciation to the WP Municipal Alliance for partnering in the event. Many thanks also are sent to Mayor Kazmark and the Borough Council, the WP Police Department, and the WP First Aid Squad.
The Task Force is comprised of various residents, health care providers, educators, business owners, elected officials, clergy, law enforcement, fire and first aid volunteers, library staff, and others working together to bring awareness to the conditions of mental health. The group aims to also provide education, information and assistance to those who suffer with mental illness.
The Task Force seeks to offer information, education, assistance and support to those who are living with or suffering from mental illness and diagnosable conditions as well as individuals who are impacted by mental health disease.
