Wayne Rotary sponsors 5K Race and Family Fun Run/Walk

Wayne Rotary will hold its second annual 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk on Sat. May 18 at DePaul Catholic High School, in Wayne.
Trophies will be awarded for winners in many different categories, including top three overall male and female runners, top three Wayne High School student male and female runners, and first place male and female age categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, plus 80 and over.
For the one-mile Family Fun Run, there will be awards for the top three overall male and female participants, and ribbons for children 12 and under.
Race day check in starts at 8 a.m. On May 18, the one-mile Family Fun Run/Walk will start at 9 a.m.  The 5K Race begins at 9:30 a.m.
Price for online registration is $25 per runner, and $25 for the Family run. The age discounts will include Students registering online, K-12 ($19), and children registering online five and under (free). Participants registering by May 3rd will receive an official event T-shirt. After that date, there will still be a limited number of these T-shirts.
Checks can be made out to “The Wayne Rotary Foundation”.  Registrations not made until the day of the race will be slightly higher.
This 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk event will help Wayne Rotary meet its mission of raising money to support Wayne High School running teams, and the Wayne Community.  This race will be timed by Tristate Timing. An outline of the official course, plus directions on how to get there are contained in the event website.
