Wayne Racquet Club Hosts AFTA for 3rd Annual Friendly Match

For the third year in a row, the Wayne Racquet Club invited the American-Filipino Tennis Association (AFTA) of Bergen County to their club for a 4-hour round of friendly tennis matches, food and fun.

Both groups brought food items and drinks for the event, which were enjoyed by all after playing some friendly tennis matches.

Throughout the year, AFTA sponsors tennis tournaments among its members and competes with other amateur tennis organizations during the summer season. For the past two decades, AFTA has nurtured and mentored its young players to be the best High School varsity tennis players. Among those representing AFTA at this event was Daniel Espiritu, a top tennis player from Bergenfield High School.

The American Filipino Tennis Association (AFTA) is a not-for-profit tennis organization located in Bergen County, NJ.  The association was founded in 1997 and is open for membership to all tennis players regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, or skill level.
