Santa Comes to Mount Olive, Not Once but Twice

The man in red is coming to Mount Olive twice this holiday season, thanks to the efforts of the Mount Olive Fire Department. On Dec. 8, children and families can meet the famous Christmas icon at the Flanders Fire and Rescue station on Main & Railroad Streets from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. when the US Marine Corps comes to town to collect toy donations for Toys for Tots. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for the toy donation. Santa’s train will depart promptly at 10:00 a.m.
If you miss the Toys for Tots train on Dec. 8, Santa will be back in Mount Olive on Dec. 14 as he rides through the neighborhoods on his fire truck. The firetrucks will begin their Santa run at 10:00 a.m. Toys will also be collected by Santa and the Flanders Fire/EMS crews during the Santa run. Toy donations will also be accepted at the fire house until Dec. 24.
