S.M.A.C Blood Screening Offered in April

In an effort to help our residents maintain good health, the Wayne Health Department will be having a S.M.A.C Blood Screening on Friday, April 26 which will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Wayne Health Department, 475 Valley Road, Wayne. If you wish to participate, you must pre-register with the Wayne Health Department. The fee for the
screening is $25.00. A 12-hour fast is required for accurate results.
This SMAC blood test is an excellent opportunity for residents to learn more about their health status. Test results serve as an early predictor of such diseases as diabetes, anemia, coronary disease and much more.
For an additional cost the following tests are also available; PSA (prostate specific antigen) ($18), Lyme Disease ($21), Hepatitis B ($15), Hepatitis C ($17), TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) ($17), Vitamin B12 ($16), Vitamin D ($20), C-Reactive Protein (CRP) High Sensitivity ($30), and Hemoglobin A1C ($15).
